Amanda Seales formerly Amanda Diva (born in Los Angeles California on July 1, the 1st of July, 1980) is a comedic performer and DJ. Amanda moved from Los Angeles to Orlando in 1981 at eight years old. She attended Dr. Phillips High School before attending SUNY Purchase. Columbia University awarded her a Master's Degree in African American Studies, with an emphasis on hip-hop. Amanda Seales started her career as Deonne in My Brother and Me (Nickelodeon in 1994) Later, she gained fame with MTV2 Sucker Free Sundays, MTV2 Sucker Free, and VJ Amanda Diva. Though spending some time as an recording artist as well as a spoken word poet, in 2011 she switched her name changed from Amanda Diva back to Amanda Seales and returned to television and soon after adding stand up comedian to her resume.
