Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
A baby was strapped to my back while the other crawled in the playpen. I stayed up all night days, for months, sanding and taking wallpaper off, all while carrying one kid. Ha! All was starting to form, but there was still a long way to go. It would take a great deal of effort and a love for shopping. To keep my budget sound, I travelled with three of my boys to look for bargains at estate sales. We used to go on a weekly basis to visit auctions and garage sales on Saturday and Sunday as well as purchase various of pieces old and newly made. My work days were spent in the driveway painting or sanding. Looked a little something like the picture below... This is where my passion for restoring furniture began. Although our house was equipped, I couldn't put down. There was a market in the area to let me sell my pieces. Eventually, I had too many pieces to store in the space available. More than 1000 people came to my home in just one weekend to purchase everything that was on the ground. This is where my business Growing Days was born. My company was flourishing and my family was growing too. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right equilibrium to start my own business and also be a good mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. My sweet Nora was born in 2013 and was our fourth baby. This was a fantastic direction for my company, but I also needed a vacation. I made the decision to take a break and spend some time at home, with my children. In the beginning, this was what I wanted. It rang once more after several minutes. They were asking for my assistance in decorating as well as renovations. These were mostly customers that came to my home to purchase furniture. I started taking on some customers one by one taking my time but it wasn't too long before I had multiple accounts and was running a complete home renovation business. If you had told me that my business would be an idea for the DIY Network show, I likely would have laughed. It's funny to think back to the idea.
